8/29/17- Dozing in top cubby, woke when spoken to. Sat up when door opened, soft eyes and body. Leaned into pets, closed eyes again. Ate treats after door closed.

Reaction when softly spoken to: Pepper remains immobile, alert with soft eyes.

Reaction to touch: Pepper accepts the stroke and slowly leans into the assessor''s hand and appreciates the petting while observing his surroundings.
Reaction to being picked up: He becomes antsy then jumps back onto the cage.
